Do I Need a License?
Yes, even if you are not profiting.
License Types
- STUDENT: High school/college/university use (free if within the institution).
- STANDARD: Non-students, professionals, and commercial use.
How Much is a License?
- STUDENT: Free (institution-only). Festivals/other venues require STANDARD.
- STANDARD: $100 USD per track per performance run.
What is a Performance Run?
- All performances at one venue.
- 10 shows at 1 venue = 1 license.
- 10 shows at 5 venues = 5 licenses.
- Film festivals follow the same rule.
How Do I Request a License?
Fill out the License Request Form.
Does the Music Come With the License?
No. Music must be purchased separately.
Can I Edit Your Music For My Project?
Only with permission. Other music requires consent from the copyright holder.
Do I Need a Separate License for Social Media?
No, but copyright notices/demonetization may occur.
Screendance License
One license covers website posting. Additional licenses are needed for each festival/screening.
Permitted Use
Dance performances or screendances only. For other uses (e.g., broadcast), contact me.
